Animal Friends would like to remind all pet owners that traveling internationally with a pet requires plenty of paperwork. Here are a few guidelines for traveling with your beloved pet:

1. To depart or enter Kuwait, your pet must be micro-chipped.

2. All pets must have all required shots at least 30 days prior to travel.

3. To depart Kuwait, your pet will need an Export Permit, which is a veterinary health certificate, issued within 7 days of your departure date. The permit is issued by the Public Authority on Agriculture & Fish Resources, Animal Health Department.

4. To enter Kuwait, your pet will need an Import permit issued by the same ministry.

5. To enter the USA, your pet will need a Screw Worm test and certificate. This can only be issued within 5 days of your departure date.

6. To enter an EU country, your pet will need to have a RNATT (Rabies Neutralising Antibody Titre Test) blood test. This test will have to be completed at least 3 months and one day before entering the EU.

7. For all other countries, you will have to check the requirements prior to travel.
